Iran may be planning attacks on US: Trump

Washington, Sep 15 (UNI) US President Donald Trump has said that Iran may be planning assassination or other attacks against the United States so as to avenge the killing of Major General Qasem Soleimani, Soleimani was killed by a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport on 3 January 2020. Trump also warned Iran that if it were to execute such an attack it would have to face a very strong retaliation from the US.
Late Major General Qasem Soleimani was the commander of Iran's elite Quds Force, and the US blames him for planning and carrying out attacks against American soldiers in the middle east region.
Trump Tweeted on Tuesday "According to press reports, Iran may be planning an assassination, or other attack, against the United States in retaliation for the killing of terrorist leader Soleimani, which was carried out for his planning a future attack, murdering U.S. Troops, and the death & suffering..."
Trump promised a strong retaliation in case Iran were to be found responsible for an attack on the US ".. Any attack by Iran, in any form, against the United States will be met with an attack on Iran that will be 1,000 times greater in magnitude!"
