Putin urges Russians to vote in regional elections

Moscow, Sep 9 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday urged residents of the Russian regions where a single voting day is ongoing to vote in the elections, while noting the convenience of the voting process.
"I ask residents of the regions where elections are being held these days to participate, especially given that the election procedures in our country are organized as conveniently as possible," Putin said in a televised address.
The Russian leader noted the possibility for citizens to vote from home via an online system, saying that more and more people were trusting the option.
