Russian, Palestinian presidents to hold talks on Tuesday

Moscow, Aug 13 (UNI) Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks on Tuesday with his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas, during the latter's official visit to Russia.
The sides are expected to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation development and exchange views on the situation in the Middle East in the light of the escalating Israeli-Palestinian conflict and unprecedented humanitarian disaster in the region.
Abbas intended to pay a visit to Moscow after the Russian presidential election that took place this March. The president's visit was initially planned for November 2023 but was postponed. His latest visit to Russia took place in 2021.
