Pompeo hits out at Hong Kong's delay of legislative elections

Moscow, August 2 (Sputnik) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized the Hong Kong administration’s one-year delay of the legislative elections, questioning whether Hong Kongers will ever be able to vote again.

There is no valid reason for such a lengthy delay. It is likely, therefore, that Hong Kong will never again be able to vote – for anything or anyone,” a Pompeo statement published on the State Department website read.
