Israeli Foreign Minister Lauds Knesset's Approval of Normalization Deal With UAE

TEL AVIV, Oct 15 (Sputnik) Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi on Thursday has praised the Knesset for approving the country's normalization deal with the United Arab Emirates, adding that he hoped this step will lead to the opening of dialogue with Palestine.
"After 2 decades of diplomatic activity, the majority behind the scenes, the dream has become a reality, & today the Knesset approved the peace agreement with the UAE. It is a conceptual change that will benefit future generations. Cultural connections change realities," the Israeli foreign minister wrote on Twitter.
Ashkenazi also expressed his hope that Israel will be able to conclude similar agreements with other Middle Eastern countries and open dialogue with the Palestinian authorities.
