Pakistan: TTP extends ceasefire till May 30 after talks

Islamabad, May 18 (UNI) The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has announced that it has agreed to extend the ceasefire with the Pakistan government till May 30 Express Tribune reported on Wednesday.
This comes following a meeting between the TTP with a Pakistani delegation led by Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Faiz Hameed at Kabul’s Serena Hotel this week.
The talks included the Pakistani military delegation including officials of the Military Intelligence (MI) and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and the terror outfit also held talks with Mehsud and Malakand jirgas to reach a peace deal amid an increase in terror attacks in the tribal districts bordering Afghanistan.
