Nepali Sherpa first climber to summit 14 highest mountains

Kathmandu, July 23 (UNI) A 47-year-old Nepali Sherpa became the first climber in the world to summit 14 highest mountains, higher than 8,000 meters, for the second time.
Sanu Sherpa, from Sankhuwasabha district in east Nepal, reached the top of Pakistan's Gasherbrum II, which at 8,035 meters is the 13th highest, on Thursday morning, his Pioneer Adventure hiking company said, reports Kathmandu Post.
“He was atop Gasherbrum II at 8:18 am (Pakistan time), completing his double ascent of the world’s 14 highest peaks above 8,000 meters,” said Nivesh Karki, executive director of Pioneer Adventure.
Eight of the 14 highest peaks, including Mount Everest, are in Nepal. The other six are in Pakistan and the Tibet region of China.
