Tokyo, Aug 9 (UNI) Japan's famed fashion designer Issey Miyake, known worldwide for his heavily pleated fabrics, perfumes and Steve Jobs's black turtlenecks, has died aged 84, Japanese news agency Kyodo reported on Tuesday, citing his company.
He died of liver cancer last Friday and was buried in a private ceremony, the report said.
Miyake died one day before his hometown of Hiroshima marked the 77th anniversary of the atomic bombing. He was 7 years old when the United States dropped the bomb.
