SC serves notice to Imran in contempt case

Islamabad, Nov 15 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Tuesday served notices to PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his aides Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar in a contempt of the Election Commission case.
A three-member Bench comprising Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justices Ayesha A Malik and Athar Minallah heard the case filed by the EC to transfer all its contempt cases against PTI leaders from different high courts to a single one.
The panel has accused Imran Khan of levelling “baseless allegations” against the EC and its chief in his addresses on July 18, 21 and 27 and August 4 and 10.
