Bangladesh reports 1396 new cases, 33 deaths in single day

Dhaka, Oct 2 (UNI) As many as 1396 people tested positive for the COVID-19 in Bangladesh during the past 24 hours while 33 people lost their lives in the same period.
The death toll has now mounted to 5605 while the country caseload has risen to 3,66,383.
According to country's Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 11,176 samples were tested in the past day. With this, the number of total sample tests reached 19,70,251.
However, 1,549 more COVID-19 patients made recovery, bringing the total recovery to 2,77,078.
