New Zealand reports 198 new community cases of Covid-19 Delta variant

Wellington, Nov 19 (UNI/Xinhua) New Zealand reported 198 new Delta variant cases of Covid-19 in the community on Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country's community outbreak to 6,532.
Among the new infections, 152 were recorded in the largest city of Auckland, 30 in nearby Waikato, five in Northland, six in Bay of Plenty, two in the Lakes District Health Board area, one in Christchurch, MidCentral and Wairarapa, respectively, according to the Ministry of Health.
A total of 76 cases are being treated in hospitals, including six in intensive care units or high dependency units, a ministry statement said.
