Myanmar's COVID-19 cases increase to 46,200, 1,122 deaths in total

Yangon, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) The total number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has increased to 46,200 as of Monday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
A total of 1,426 more COVID-19 confirmed cases were reported in the country on Monday and the death toll of COVID-19 reached 1,122 with 27 newly reported deaths on Monday, the release said.
A total of 90 percent of the COVID-19 death toll in the country were elderly men and those suffered from chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart and cardiovascular diseases, Union Minister Dr. Myint Htwe for Health and Sports told a recent meeting.
