COVID-19 infections in Iran exceed 370,000; Iraq reports highest 4,146 daily recoveries

CAIRO, Aug 30 (Xinhua) Iran's COVID-19 cases rose to 371,816 on Saturday with the addition of 1,905 new infections. Meanwhile, Iraq reported highest 4,146 daily recoveries from the coronavirus.
In Iran, the hardest-hit country in the Middle East region, 21,359 people have died from the virus, up by 110 in the past 24 hours. A total of 319,847 coronavirus patients have recovered, with 3,791 still in critical condition.
In Iraq, the tally of recovered cases increased to 169,020 after 4,146 new ones, the highest number in a single day since the outbreak of the disease, were registered.
