More than 32,000 labor contracts suspended in Mozambique due to COVID-19

Maputo, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) The Mozambican Workers' Organization (OTM-CS) said on Tuesday that more than 32,000 labor contracts were suspended since March due to the impact of the novel coronavirus in the country.

According to Alexandre Munguambe, the Secretary-General of OTM-CS who spoke to the press in Maputo after a flower deposition at Mozambique Hero Square to celebrate the day of the Organization of Workers of Mozambique, 1,500 workers from 27 of its companies lost their jobs.
