Ethiopia says over 209 al-Shabab fighters killed after failed incursion

Addis Ababa, July 27 (UNI) The Ethiopian government on Wednesday disclosed that more than 209 al-Shabab fighters have been killed after a failed incursion from neighboring Somalia by the militant group.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Ethiopian Federal Government Communication Service said the coordinated security operation is underway by federal and Ethiopia's Somali regional security forces against remnants of al-Shabab fighters following their failed incursion.
