Rapid Trident 2021 military exercise kicks off in Ukraine

Kiev, Sep 21 (UNI/Xinhua) Multinational military exercise Rapid Trident 2021 kicked off in Lviv region in western Ukraine on Monday, the press service of the Ukrainian army's land forces reported.
More than 6,000 military personnel from 15 countries will take part in the exercise between September 20 and October 1 at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center near Yavoriv in Lviv region.
The Rapid Trident exercise has been held in Ukraine since 2006 within the framework of NATO's Partnership for Peace program. Last year over 4,000 troops from nine participating countries took part in the drills.
