Mali expects Russia to keep supplying military equipment: FM

Moscow, Nov 11 (UNI/Sputnik) Mali expects Russia to continue supplying weapons and military equipment amid the persisting terrorist threat in the African country, Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop said on Thursday.
Dip said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, "we have some expectations from Russia, this is a highly realistic and pragmatic partner that always seeks making the terrorism fight as effective as possible.
I know that today we can count on the support that we requested in terms of weapons and equipment, education and training and provision of necessary means that will help our defence and security forces ensure Mali's security. I think it is highly important to understand this".
