Washington, Sep 16 (UNI) Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect in the purported assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, may have waited for more than 12 hours along the tree line at Trump's golf club, according to a criminal complaint filed on Monday, media reports said.
Routh, 58, was charged with possessing a handgun despite being convicted felon. He as also accused of possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number at his first appearance in federal court on Monday morning, CNN reported
The investigation into Sunday's suspected attempt on Trump's life is ongoing, and further charges may be filed, according to law enforcement authorities familiar with the situation.
