One killed, 7 injured in stabbing attacks in Birmingham

London, Sep 6 (UNI) One person was killed and seven others injured due to stabbing attacks in the UK city of Birmingham, confirmed West Midlands police on Sunday, adding that an investigations related to the incedent are currently underway.
The police statement said that two people have received serious injuries "We can now confirm that we’ve launched a murder investigation following the events in Birmingham city centre overnight. A man has tragically died. Another man and a woman have suffered serious injuries and five others have also been injured, although their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening,".
A report by Sputnik quoted the statement saying that the stabbings incident took place between 23:30 and 01:20 GMT and there is a likely hood of them being linked said the police.
