Moscow, Sep 30 (UNI) An attempt by Ukraine to carry out a terrorist attack on targets in Russia's Belgorod Region using nine rockets from the Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) was prevented, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
“Early on September 30, at about 3:45 a.m. Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation using nine rockets of the Uragan MLRS was stopped. Air defense systems on duty destroyed all nine rockets in the air over the Belgorod Region,” the ministry said.
Earlier, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said air defenses shot down aerial targets near the Russian city of Belgorod, no casualties or damage were reported.
