Young Australians to be incentivized to make up for agriculture labour shortfall

Canberra, Sep 30 (Xinhua) The Australian government will incentivize welfare recipients to take up work on farms to account for a shortfall in foreign workers.

David Littleproud, the minister for agriculture, confirmed that the federal budget for 2020/21 would include measures to encourage young Australians to help stem a critical labour shortage by picking fruit.
