Iraqi protesters storm Parliament again, 125 people injured

Baghdad, July 30 (UNI) Baghdad's so-called Green Zone, a reinforced district hosting government buildings and foreign embassies, was stormed for the second time in less than a week on Saturday as people continue to protest the nomination of a pro-Iran candidate for prime minister by the largest bloc in parliament, Iraqi state media reported.
Demonstrators broke through concrete barriers into the Green Zone and assembled in the parliament for a sit-in, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.
Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi ordered security forces to "protect" the protesters and official buildings but also gave them a green light to "take all legal measures to maintain order," his office said in a statement, as quoted in the report.
