Afghanistan: '8 Taliban killed' in Kunduz op, says officials

Kabul, Nov 24 (UNI) At least eight Taliban insurgents were killed in an ongoing clash in Kunduz province here over the past four days, police officials said on Sunday.

Afghan security forces launched the clearing operation from three directions to engage insurgents on the outskirts of Kunduz city, Tolo News quoted officials as saying.

'Afghan forces also have air support, which is targeting the Taliban,' the officials added.

The Ministry of Defence on Thursday announced the operation, calling it Pamir 110.”

The Taliban have not commented on casualties.
