Kabul, Jan 3(UNI) A blast killed five people and injured two more in Kapisa province, north of Kabul, on Sunday afternoon, a local official said.
According to the officials the explosion targeted a vehicle which was carrying the head of the ulema council in Kapisa. The ulema was on his way from Kabul to the province, said Mohammad Husain Sanjani, head of the Kapisa provincial council.
He said that seven people were travelling in the vehicle, out of which five were killed in the blast. Two more people, including the head of the ulema council, were wounded.
The incident occurred in Sayyad market in Kapisa province, TOLOnews reported.
