791 killed, 2,244 injured in traffic accidents in 4 months in Myanmar

Yangon, May 30 (UNI) A total of 791 people were killed and 2,244 others injured in 1,491 traffic accidents recorded in Myanmar in the first four months of this year, according to the Road Transport Administration Department (RTAD) on Thursday.
The number of traffic accidents in the cited period is down compared to 1,756 accidents registered a year earlier, which killed 943 and injured 2,518, the figures showed.
From January to April this year, Yangon Region reported the highest number of road accidents at 287, followed by Ayeyarwady Region with 246 and Bago Region with 208, showed the data.
