Eight-yr-old boy killed by leopard in Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar, Oct 25 (UNI) An eight-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in Pathardi tehsil of the district early on Sunday.
The incident occurred in Kelwandi area near Manikdaundi Road in Pathardi at around 0300 hours when the boy, Saksham Ganesh Athare, was sleeping in the basement of the house as usual on Saturday night.
The leopard attacked him and dragged him away into a nearby field from where his body was found early this morning at around 0600 hours.

Panaji, Nov 30 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that his government was people friendly and according priority to the interest of the needy and common men.
Speaking after launching One Time Settlement Scheme 2020 of the Department of Electricity at a function at Secretariat, Porvorim, he said, 'Our government will not take such decisions against the interest of the people of the state.'
The Chief Minister said the payment of electricity bills had been held up due to various reasons, providing the people ease of access of one time settlement scheme through which the consumers can pay bills in installments.
