Approximately over 25 lakh hectors land affected in Marathwada

Aurangabad, Oct 1 (UNI) Approximately more than 25 lakh hectors lands crops an estimated more than Rs 2200 crores across in the eight districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra state were affected due to the month long frequent torrential rains hit to the region ,sources said.
Earlier it was estimated 14.69 lakh hectors crops comprising 20.22 lakh farmers were affected .
However,due to devastated rains during the cyclonic storm 'Gulab' across the region causing further damage of lands increased and crossed 25 lakh hectors as per initial report but it will increase up to 30 lakh hectors further after actual assignment were completed by Respective district revenue administration,they further said.
