Goa: Private bus operators ready to convert buses from diesel to CNG but with rider

Panaji, Nov 21 (UNI) Private bus owners in Goa said they are ready to convert their buses from diesel to CNG provided the government allows them to operate 15-year-old buses having fitness certificates.

''Since the Government of India has now decided to scrap commercial buses which are more than 15 years old, we have requested Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to allow some relaxation to private buses which are more than 15 years old provided they convert to CNG and hold valid fitness certificate,'' All Goa Private Owners Association (AGPBOA) General Secretary Sudip Tamhankar said.
