Mumbai, Jun 28 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday made an emotional appeal to rebel Sena MLAs, camping at Guwahati in Assam, to come back to Mumbai and discuss their grievances with him to find a solution to the ongoing political crisis.
In a statement here, Uddhav said "The family members of some of you (MLAs) have contacted and conveyed their feelings to me. I respect your feelings as the head of Shiv Sena family.
"As the head of the family, I tell you from the bottom of my heart to get rid of confusion, there will be a definite way out of it, we will sit together and find a way out of it.
"Do not fall prey to anyone's missteps, the honour given to you by Shiv Sena cannot be found anywhere. If you come forward and speak, a way will be paved out.
"As Shiv Sena party chief and family head, I am still worried about you. Come on in, take a look and enjoy yourself," added Thackeray.
The Sena rebels, led by Minister Eknath Shinde, have openly demanded to snap ties with Congress and NCP and go with BJP, arguing that it is natural alliance partner of Sena. Shinde claims to have about 50 legislators with him, including independents.
Since last one week, both the sides have made allegations and counter allegations against each others.
Also, Shiv Sena activists allegedly vandalised offices and put black ink on the posters of rebel MLAs across the state, while the supporters of rebels also came on the streets to show solidarity with their respective MLAs in the state.
