Nine-days long 'Navratra' festival begin at Karveer Nivasini Shree Mahalaxmi temple from Thursday

Kolhapur, Oct 7 (UNI) As per government's norms, nine-days long Navratra festival, began on Thursday with 'Ghatsthapna' (installation of God's idol) at Karveer Nivasini Goddess Shree Mahalaxmi temple, known as 'Ambabai', in an enthusiastic festivity.
'Shree Pujak' Manoj Munishwar did 'abhishek' of idol Mahalaxmi followed by Western Maharashtra Devsthan Committee (WMDC) secretary Shivraj Naikvade performing a 'puja' and then the pujari performing a 'Ghatsthapna'' ritual and 'Alankaric' (figurative) 'puja' to mark nine-days Navratra festival.
For the first time due to ongoing Corona pandemic, WMDC is all set to welcome devotees with giving online booking service for 'darshan' and planned entry for about five hundred devotees per hour from 0500 to 2100 hours during the nine-days festival as per government's directives taking precautions so as not to spread Corona again.
