Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra and NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Monday welcomed the Supreme Court decision upholding 10 per cent reservation for the economically weaker sections of the general category.
This is a historic judgment which has sealed the right of reservation for EWS of the general class, paving the way for development for a large and needy sections of society, he said.
The social justice movement has acquired an economic dimension, the NCP leader said, and expressed that this decision should not be politicised.
