Nominate Rahul Gandhi as next Congress president: AICC member

Thane, Aug 23 (UNI) AICC member Summan Agrawal on Sunday asked the party president Sonia Gandhi and other members to prefer Rahul Gandhi as the next president of the party.
Talking to media here, she said that ahead of the important CWC meeting to be held on August 24 at Delhi, she has written to AICC president Sonia Gandhi, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge, CWC member Raghuveer Singh Meena & few other important Congress leaders and requested all CWC members to nominate the dynamic and visionary leader, Rahul Gandhi, as AICC president once again.
In his capacity as AICC president, Mr Gandhi shall be effective to reach out to the masses and instill vigour in ongoing fight to preserve the nation's democracy and constitutional values, Ms Agrawal expressed in her message.
