Select LS Speaker after discussions with INDIA front, Congress leader to NDA

Satara, Jun 17 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra chief minister, Prithviraj Chavan, said on Monday that the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) should select the Speaker of Lok Sabha following discussions with constituent parties of INDIA front.
Talking to reporters at Karad town of the district this afternoon after a function, he further said that if they (NDA) tried to push their candidate then INDIA front would also field its candidate for the Speaker's election.
"The ruling NDA should select the Speaker of the Lok Sabha with support of INDIA front and if they try to push their candidate, then we will field our own candidate for the Speaker's post," the Congress leader said.
