Maha CM, his deputy assure lawyers to meet Chief Justice of Bombay HC for circuit bench at Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Jul 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis on Monday gave an assured to a delegation of the Kolhapur District Bar Association (KDBA) that they would soon meet the Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Dipankar Datta and pursue with him their long-pending demand of setting up a bench of the high court at Kolhapur.
Both Shinde and Fadnavis gave this assurance to a delegation of the lawyers, led by KDBA president Girish Khadke, upon their arrival at Kolhapur airport this evening. They arrived here to meet and console BJP state president Chandrakant Patil whose mother died on Sunday.
For past many years, the lawyers from six districts including Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Solapur, have been agitating for setting up of a circuit bench of the high court in Kolhapur.
