Accord top priority to health care, handling of Covid 19: Kamat

Panaji, Sep 20 (UNI) Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has demanded that government must accord topmost priority to health care and completely focus on handling and management on Covid pandemic.
In a statement, he said,''With 12-year-boy passing away, this is a new low in handling and management of Covid Pandemic by the Government. I demand that the government must wake up & focus on Health Care on topmost priority.''
'' The unfortunate death is a wake up call for all those who are desperate to open schools in Goa. I appeal to all not to play with the lives of the children. I demand that Chief Minister and Health Minister must keep aside all other priorities and completely focus on handling and management of Covid pandemic. Saving lives of citizens should be the top most priority of the government,'' he said.

Pune, April 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal(5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.7°C was reported at Anantapur
(Rayalaseema) over the country.
