Congress asks Goa govt to cut VAT on fuel

Panaji, Nov 3 (UNI) As the Centre reduced exice duty on petrol and diesel, the Goa Congress on Wednesday demanded that the state government must immediately cut Value Added Tax (VAT) on fuel and give relief to people of the state.
Taking to Twitter, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat said,''After facing defeats in By-polls & constant @INCIndia protests, insensitive @BJP4India Govt. reduces Excise Duty on Petrol by ₹5 & Diesel by ₹10. This is NOT ENOUGH. Will @PMOIndia reduce LPG cylinder prices? @goacm must immediately cut VAT on Fuel & give relief to Goans.''
The Centre on Wednesday announced to cut excise duties on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 respectively.
