Margao, Jul 16 (UNI) The Congress has said that the partial lockdown announced by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is relection of his defective administration.
In a statement, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar said the annoucement had no scientific base, nor was it a solution.
The insensitive, corrupt BJP government had turned out to be the 'murderer' of 18 innocent Covid patients who lost their lives purely due to irresponsible behaviour and gross mismanagement of the Covid pandemic by Dr. Pramod Sawant led government, Mr Chodankar alleged.
Stating that the people were in panic and felt insecure under present defective government, the Congress leader said the Chief Minister must immediately release the action plan and White Paper on Covid pandemic failing which, the Congress Party will be compelled to launch “Self Suffering Agitation”.
"The Congress Party will be able to give our suggestions on the handling of Covid situation only after we receive factual information through action plan of the government and release of White Paper," he said.
