Panaji, Oct 7 (UNI) The Congress in Goa on Wednesday alleged that the recent statement of Minister Michael Lobo on Goa Lokayukta P K Mishra was nothing but reflection of BJP's agenda of decimation of every constitutional institution in the country.
In statement, Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar said,'Modi-Shah duo have tried to influence each and every constitutional institutions and statutory bodies in the country. People are well aware of their modus operandi of luring persons holding key positions by offering them posts of Governors, Rajya Sabha Members, Ministers etc after their retirements in reciprocation of decisions given on various matters favourable to Modi-Shah and which suits BJP's political agenda.'
'After coming to power, Modi-Shah duo has not left a single independent institution from their interference. They have tried to influence CAG, CBI, ED, NCB, Defence and even Judiciary. Decisions pertaining to Rafael Deal, Violation of Election Code of Conduct, Hype of Sushant Singh Suicide Case for Political advantage in Bihar elections by Modi-Shah duo, politically motivated CBI riads on Congress Leaders in Election bound States are in the minds of the people. It is but natural that Brhashtachar Yukta BJP is averse to Satya Palak Lokayukta. The 'defective' Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is carrying forward the 'corrupt legacy' of former CM Manohar Parrikar who time and again compromised interest of Goa for his personal image building,' Mr Chodankar alleged.
