BJP Govt’s poor Covid Management is risking Goan people'S lives: AAP

Panaji, Oct 10 (UNI) Aam Adami Prty (AAP) in Goa on Saturday criticized Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s statement in which he said that 95% of Covid deaths were due to Comorbidities and five per cent are because people came late for treatment.
Addressing a press conference in the city, AAP spokesperson Surel Tilve said, “Pramod bab wants to hide failure of his Government by blaming innocent Goans, if Ambulance services to ferry patients are not there then how will poor patients reach hospital on time? If people are not getting tested in time, how will they be able to get admitted in hospitals at the right time? What is the use of ‘overpriced’ ventilators when your Government is unable to provide them to Serious patients? The very purpose of Ventilators is to provide life support to serious patients. Why don’t you tell the truth which is that you don’t have proper infrastructure to deal with Covid?”
'Government needs to build a more transparent system for Goans to know about the available Covid facilities in their area. People are unaware about the number of hospital beds available in their area. Delhi Government solved this efficiently by making all the data transparent through an app. Goa Government then should also start providing hospital beds status on a real time basis locality wise. Least they can do is to publish it in the daily health bulletin. Also, it is appalling that the number of Covid ambulances have just not increased despite the Health Minister assuring the same on the 5th of july. It has now been 2 months and the people of Goa are still scrambling for ambulances. People have to wait for 10 hours. While Mr Sawant was critical of Goans reaching late to the hospitals, he should tell people how many ambulances are available in their area,' he said.
