Cong opposing farm bills for political reasons: former Mah Assembly Speaker Bagade

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Sep 21 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagade on Monday hailed passage of the duo farm bills in Rajya Sabha and asserted that the Congress party is opposing the proposed laws for political reasons.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP office here, Phulambri BJP MLA Bagade proclaimed that the NCP, a ruling partner in the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, had indirectly supported the bill.
Corroborating his claim, he further said, "When the agriculture bills came in the Rajya Sabha, MP and NCP President Sharad Pawar walked out. He had indirect support for the bills. As the bills are not anti-farmer, the NCP did not stage agitation in Maharashtra."
