Gandhinagar, July 29 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone for the headquarters building of the International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
PM Modi today visited India's first International Financial Services Center (IFSC), Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (Gift City).
The visit laid the foundation stone for the headquarters building of the International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA), the unified regulator for the development and regulation of financial products, financial services and financial institutions in India at International Financial Services Centers (IFSCS).
The Prime Minister also launched India's first international bullion exchange, the India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX), at GIFT-IFSC on the occasion.
Modi also launched NSE IFSC-SGX Connect.
Under this, all orders on Nifty derivatives placed by members of Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) will be routed and matched on the NSE-IFSC Order Matching and Trading Platform.
