Patil distributed 17, 500 national flags

Pune, August 14 (UNI) On the occasion of Independence Day, as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call that every countryman should fly the tricolor at his home, the Maharashtra Cabinet minister Chandrakant Patil distributed 17, 500 national flags at his constituency Kothrud in this city.
This year the country is completing 75 years of independence, therefore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' on the occasion of Independence Day. Under this, every citizen should hoist the national flag at his house, this started since yesterday and will continue till tomorrow.
"The PM also called on people to remember the freedom fighters and our soldiers. His appeal is getting spontaneous response from all over the country," said Chandrakant Patil.
