Indian coast guard saves 19 persons in rescue operation at Ratnagiri coast

Kolhapur/Ratnagiri, Sep 16 (UNI) With getting a big success, Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personals on Friday saved total 19 persons including 18 Indian and one Ethiopian master from Motor Tanker ship at the sea 41 miles west of the Ratnagiri coast.
The vessel was on way to New Mangalore from Khor Fakkan(UAE). After a call received that vessel was sinking in the sea, Maritime Rescue Coordination Center , Mumbai Swung into action and Informed immediately two patrolling ICG ships with alerting other ships in the sea and deployed advanced helicopter.
ICG personals rescued total 19 persons and shifted at safe place while ship employees were also safe and the sinking ship was pulled up at shore.
