Maharashtra logs 1,094 new Covid cases

Mumbai, Sep 8 (UNI) Maharashtra reported 1,094 fresh Covid-19 cases, according to a health bulletin released on Thursday.
The state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 81,07,366, while the overall toll stood at 1,48,274 with five new death cases reported.
The bulletin said 1,747 patients were cured of the virus and discharged, taking the recovery count to 79,52,049.
The state's recovery rate significantly stands at 98.07 per cent and fatality rate at 1.82 per cent.
Presently, there are 7,043 active Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the state, the bulletin added.
In Marathwada region there are 39 positive cases, including 10 in Aurangabad district, Latur (10), Osmanabad (9), Jalna (5), Nanded (2), Beed (2) and Hingoli (1), the bulletin said.

Pune, Apr 23 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Bihar, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Assam and Meghalaya; at many places over Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, east Uttar Pradesh and coastal Karnataka. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.8°C was reported at Cuddapah (Rayalaseema) and Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) over the country.
