Maha Govt to provide 2 lakh solar powered farm pumps to farmers: DyCM

Mumbai, Sep 28 (UNI) Several important decisions like providing two lakh solar powered farm pumps to farmers of the state, completing the backlog of all farm pump connections by March 2022 and solarising agriculture feeders were taken in a review meeting of the Energy Department chaired by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday.
Senior officials of Mahavitran, Mahapareshan, Mahanirmiti, as well as holding company and Power department were present in this meeting, an official press release stated.
Fadnavis said that under the central government's Kusum Yojana, a target for deployment of one lakh solar powered agricultural pumps has been set for Meda and Mahavitaran.
