Missing infant reunited with family

Thane, Aug 31 (UNI) Responsible behaviour of an elderly samaritan coupled with the thoughtful action of Bhiwandi's woman cop Mamta D'Souza helped in reuniting a three-year-old girl with her parents, within hours after she went missing, police said here on Monday.
On Sunday, an 81-year-old Shivaji Gawli spotted the infant roaming alone on the street near the Shankar Mandir in Gayatri Nagar. Sensing misgiving, Gawli took hold of the girl and handed her to the Shanti Nagar police station.
It was a challenge for the cops to identify and unite the aggrieved to her parents as the girl wasn't able to give any clue while the personnel were busy in security duty on the account of Muharram.
