Ahmedabad, Jul 2 (UNI) At a time when the rising prices of fuel are making headlines, a philanthropist businessman in Gujarat is selling petrol-diesel to all the corona-warriors with a rebate of Rs two per liter at two of his Indian Oil petrol pumps.
Son of noted social activist Late Nirmalaba, who had worked with Mahatma Gandhi and Vinoba Bhave, Ajay Jani was also distributing an immune boosting homeo medicine, recommended by the Ministry of AYUSH, free of cost here in an attempt to prevent the spread of Covid-19 virus.
Jani on Thursday said that the rebated sell of fuel at two of his petrol pumps in the city was on for the past over 80 days. "I felt an urge to do something for Corona warriors when I heard and read about the attacks on them, especially doctors and other health workers soon after the lockdown. Initially I thought of honouring them with flowers and gifts but then chalked out a plan regarding rebate on fuel prices. We don't even seek identity cards for it. We have dedicated one fuel point each at the two petrol pumps in Odhav and Maninagar area for this purpose," he said.
