Own power : Village in Goa set to receive electricity from state after 60 yrs of liberation

Panaji, Nov 30 (UNI) Better late than never ! A village in Goa is set to receive electricity from the state after 60 years of state's liberation.
The village Tiracol in Pernem Taluka in North Goa district has about 100 houses and a population of about 350 people. Till now it was getting electricity from Redi village in neighbouring state of Maharashtra.
Recently, Power Minister Nilesh Cabral took the initiative to provide electricity from Goa and decided to lay underwater cable at an estimated cost of Rs five crore.
