4 remanded into police custody for illegal sale of PDS foodgrains in market

Nanded, Sep 2 (UNI) A court at Mukhed has remanded into police custody up to September 4 four men who were allegedly involved in illegally selling the foodgrains meant for public distribution system in the open market.
The accused in a joint conspiracy took various foodgrains from the government godown located at Mukramabad in Mukhed tehsil in two tempos.
On suspicion, the police squad on patrolling stopped the two vehicles in early hours of August 31 and found that they were carrying various foodgrains including 35 quintal wheat and 32 quintal rice in one tempo and 25 quintal wheat and 20 quintal rice in another tempo, police said.
