Aurangabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Eight districts of Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported 416 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, health authorities said on Saturday.
The region also witnessed eight fatalities during the same period.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that of the eight districts in the region, Aurangabad was the worst affected with 86 fresh cases and 2 fatalities, followed by Nanded with 41 new cases and 2 deaths, Beed 73 cases and 1 death, Latur 49 cases and one death, Parbhani 10 cases and 1 death, Jalna 98 cases, Osmanabad 98 cases and Hingoli 4 cases.
Meanwhile, 5,027 fresh infections and 161 deaths were reported across the state. With this, the state's case tally reached 17.10 lakh.
While 11,062 cured patients have been discharged, the recoveries have mounted to 15.61 lakh with total 44,965 patients succumbing to the disease so far.
Currently, 1.02 lakh patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centres in the state.
